CCOF is a growing organization that seeks highly qualified and trained professionals. In addition we have a highly competitive 240 hour Internship Program and we also welcome those seeking to volunteer time to support our mission to certify, educate and promote organic.
CCOF Organic Food Handler Certification Specialist
CCOF Organic Inspectors
CCOF hires and contracts with qualified organic inspectors based on regional supply and demand loads. Location is an important factor. See “Current Regional Inspector Needs” section below.
Organic inspectors are highly qualified professional auditors possessing a suitable combination of relevant education and work experience in crops, and/or livestock, and/or food processing and handling. A general requirement is the completion of relevant courses offered by Independent Organic Inspectors Association (IOIA). If you do not have any prior inspection experience, please investigate this website thoroughly before contacting CCOF.
Inspectors without extensive prior organic inspection experience complete additional training with CCOF, composed of 3-10 apprentice inspections.
