Finding Organic Food

Organic food is available in a growing number of retail grocery
outlets. Organic salad mix is available in about 70% of the supermarkets
in the United States. At the same time, farmers markets are thriving.
To gain even greater access to fresh, organic, locally-produced
food, connect directly with a farmer through farmers markets, Community
Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscriptions, farm websites, and produce
stands.
CCOF's
Organic Directory provides
a list of all CCOF certified producers and supporting members based
on products offered, locations, and sales methods, such as wholesale,
retail farmers markets and CSAs. Additionally, the directory includes
information about apprenticeship opportunities and provides full
contact information including phone numbers, email addresses and
websites. The CCOF Organic Directory
can be viewed online or purchased in the CCOF
store.

Several organizations maintain searchable listings of farmers
markets. The California
Federation of Certified Farmers Markets provides locations,
times, contact information and maps for all certified farmers markets
in the state. Local
Harvest and the Agricultural
Marketing Service of USDA provide listings of farmers markets
across the country.
