Overview
The 9th Annual Sustainable Pest Management Conference will feature innovative pest management practices for sustainable agriculture. We invite you to update your skills, earn continuing education credits and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of San Luis Obispo. The purpose of the conference is to educate you on the use of innovative practices in the management of pests in sustainable agricultural systems. Special focus will be given to certified organic regulations, materials and production practices. A special Soil & Water Testing workshop on Day 2 instructs attendees on how to assess the need for, sample, and evaluate the results of basic soil and water tests. Topics include:

SOIL & WATER TESTING BASICS
A Workshop for PCAs, CCAs & Growers
Workshop participants will receive hands-on instruction from industry experts on how to assess the need for, sample, and evaluate the results of basic soil and water tests as may be required for any upcoming changes to the Ag Waiver from the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Get informed and be ready! Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Primary Soil Nutrients (NPK)
- Exchangeable Cations & Micronutrients
- Soil pH, Sodium, Salinity and Lime Requirement

- Soil Microbial Ecologies & Plant Health

Workshop discussion will be tailored to participant needs and questions. CCAs interested in taking their professional exam will particularly benefit from this workshop.

Continuing Education Credits
9.5 Continuing Education Units for PCAs, including 2.5 Laws and Regulations Units, have been approved by the CA Department of Pesticide Regulation (7.5 units for Day 1, 2 additional units for Day 2). 12 CEU credits for CCAs and 12 Ag Waiver Units (8 units for Day 1, 4 units for Day2) have been approved by CA Certified Crop Advisors and the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), respectively.
