26 Wineries & Brewiers to Pour at CCOF's Organic Beer & Wine Tasting
(October 18, 2007) Santa Cruz, CA –Join CCOF for the Second Annual Organic Beer and Wine Tasting event in collaboration with the annual Harvest Festival at the Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market in San Francisco. Attendees can taste premium CCOF certified organic wines and beers on Friday, October 26, from 4 to 8 pm, as Ferry Building food vendors also join in the festivities by offering bites of their unique appetizers, many made with delectable organic ingredients.
This year’s event will showcase 26 CCOF wineries and breweries offering tastes of their spectacular products throughout the night. Vendors include: Adastra Vineyards, Barra of Mendocino, Bonterra Vineyards, Butte Creek Brewing Co., Coturri Winery, Clif Bar Family Winery and Farm, Eel River Brewing Co., EMTU Estates, Hallcrest Vineyards, Hawley Wines, Jeriko Estates, La Rocca Vineyards, Le Vin Winery, McFadden Farm, Mendocino Wine Company, the Nevada County Wine Guild, Organic Vintners, the Organic Wine Works, Preston Vineyards, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing Co., Silver Mountain Vineyards, Sky Saddle Wines, Terra Savia, Thirsty Bear Brewing Co., Tres Sabores, and the Ukiah Brewing Co.
Beer, wine, and food enthusiasts can purchase tickets at the door, $25 for 10 tastes or $15 for 5 tastes, which includes a commemorative wine glass. Live music by The Golden Gate Hot Club, a gypsy jazz ensemble, will set the tone as attendees sample and taste their way around the Ferry Building on the Bay. All event proceeds will help fund CCOF’s many educational and organic advocacy non-profit programs.
An exciting cornucopia of silent auction items are in line for your bidding pleasure, such as lunch for two with a bottle of wine at the Chez Panissee Restaurant Café, a full season CSA subscription, a $50 gift certificate to Café Gratitude, a 60-minute Organic Fusion Massage, and a Long Meadow Ranch Pinzgauer Adventure for four through the back roads of their ranch.
