Future Organic Farmer Grant Fund

We want you to apply for the Future Organic Farmer Grant Fund! The fund is open between now and May 15, 2015. Join the ranks of organic students and teachers across the country who are studying and learning about organic agriculture. Join the CCOF community of Future Organic Farmer Grant Fund awardees and support your classroom projects and academic and vocational studies!

K-8th Grade: Look at Agriculture… Organically! Grants It's never too soon for teachers to spark their students' interest in organic! We will be awarding 20 grants of $1,000 for K-8 classrooms nationally through a partnership with the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom.

2014 K-8 grant recipient projects included starting organic seed banks, growing organic pizza gardens, and teaching students how to graft organic trees. We can't wait to see what the 2015 applicants have in mind!

Vocational and Higher Education Grants To grow organic, we must cultivate the next generation of organic professionals. We will be awarding 20 grants of $2,500 for students to study organic agriculture in vocational training programs, junior college degrees, and bachelor’s degree programs.

2014 grant recipients used the grant to attend the Vermont Farmer Training Program, major in Organic Agriculture Systems at Washington State University, and study Plant Sciences at California State University Chico, and more.
