Join California Secretary of Agriculture Karen Ross at CCOF Foundation Dinner

Join CCOF and Secretary of Agriculture Karen Ross on December 13, 2017 at the CCOF Foundation’s We Are Organic Dinner at the Organic Grower Summit at the Hyatt Regency Monterey. We will recognize the Foundation’s accomplishments and your role in making them possible!
The CCOF Foundation advances organic agriculture for a healthy world by educating future organic farmers, helping consumers understand organic, assisting organic farmers in need, and providing training for organic professionals. At this dinner, we’ll hear from Secretary of the California Department of Food Agriculture Karen Ross, and Pascal Brooks and David Robles, two students who received grants from the Future Organic Farmer Grant Fund.
Appointed by Governor Brown in 2011, Secretary Ross has extensive leadership experience in agricultural issues at the state, national, and international level. From 2009 to 2011, she was chief of staff for U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. Before that, she served as president of the California Association of Winegrape Growers (1996‒2009) and vice president of the Agricultural Council of California (1989‒1996). She has served on boards and committees of many agricultural, wine industry, and academic institutions. Secretary Ross will be speaking about the growth of organic in California and how California serves as the cradle of the organic movement.
