Join Darrell Wood, Panorama Meats at the CCOF Conference

Join Darrell Wood from Panorama Meats at our Organic Hotspots Conference on February 22-23, 2018, in Sacramento, California. The event will explore the factors that have made California a hotbed of organic hotspots activity and discuss ways to encourage the growth of organic hotspots across rural America. We will hear the stories of organic leaders who have contributed to economic revitalization through organic in rural areas, and from those who have seen the impacts first-hand on their businesses and communities. For more information and event registration, visit www.ccof.org/2018-event.

Wood is a sixth-generation, full-time rancher and owner of Leavitt Lake Ranches in Susanville and Vina, California, along with his wife Callie, son Ramsey, daughter Dallice, and their families. In 2001, they began raising grass-fed cattle on their 46,000 acres of family-owned and leased rangelands in Northern California. As founder of Panorama Meats, Wood created environmental stewardship protocols that are now practiced by many of Panorama’s family ranchers across the western United States.

Wood was recently appointed as Vice President of the CCOF North Valley Chapter and has served as Vice President of the California Cattlemen’s Association and President of the Lassen County Cattleman’s Association.

Wood will join Thaddeus Barsotti of Capay Organic Farm/Farm Fresh to You and Minh Tsai of Hodo Soy on a panel of CCOF producers speaking about how their businesses play a role in creating organic hotspots.
