Joshua Dransfield
Joshua Dransfield’s future career goals include operating Windspring Organic Dairy farm and increasing the farm’s herd and production to be competitive in an area of the country where it is difficult to find a vendor for the product, especially for small herds. Currently, Dransfield and his family milk 35 cows, with about 50 young stock. There is a natural spring on the farm’s mountain land, which provides the farm’s water supply. Dransfield believes it is important to protect the land and water while producing a high-quality product for consumers to enjoy. This year, his family’s farm received a bronze award from their milk co-op, Organic Valley, for milk quality. Dransfield has never wished to do anything but be a dairy farmer, and he am proud to be a third-generation dairy farmer.

Congratulations on your third year of funding, Joshua!
