National Young Farmers Coalition Releases Comprehensive FSA Loan Program Guide

The National Young Farmers Coalition (NYFC) released a comprehensive guidebook to aid farmers with USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) loans. The illustrated guidebook, Farm Service Agency Loans: The Ins and Outs of Growing a Farm with Federal Loans, is available for free online or in hard copy for $15.

NYFC represents, mobilizes, and engages young farmers to ensure their success. They support practices and policies to sustain young, independent, and prosperous farmers now and in the future.

The guidebook, created with the help of FSA, includes a wide array of information that covers FSA’s background and general information, the types of loans FSA offers, how to apply, which loan type works best, business planning, what to do if your loan is accepted or rejected, what to do if you’re unable to pay your loan, and other helpful resources. The guidebook includes case studies of farmers who have applied and received loans and easy-to-read charts and information.

For more information on the guidebook, contact NYFC.
