Estimados miembros y simpatizantes del CCOF,<\/p>\n

Es para m\u00ed un gran placer y un honor dirigirme a ustedes como nuevo director general de CCOF. Desde que asum\u00ed el cargo en enero, me he sentido continuamente inspirado por los numerosos logros de CCOF a lo largo de 2018, que usted ayud\u00f3 a hacer realidad. No soy ajeno a la fuerza de la incre\u00edble membres\u00eda de CCOF de agricultores org\u00e1nicos, profesionales y partidarios, y estoy emocionado de aprovechar el poder de esta comunidad \u00fanica para continuar trazando el camino hacia un futuro org\u00e1nico.<\/p>\n

Usted nos ayud\u00f3 a poner ladrillos en nuestro camino org\u00e1nico al permitirnos ayudar a 7.898 estudiantes y profesores a obtener financiaci\u00f3n para la educaci\u00f3n org\u00e1nica, conseguir que 383 miembros se comprometieran a influir en las pol\u00edticas a favor de lo org\u00e1nico, y proporcionar certificaci\u00f3n org\u00e1nica a 3.731 agricultores y empresas org\u00e1nicas.<\/p>\n

Uno de nuestros proyectos m\u00e1s ilusionantes de 2018 -que se prolongar\u00e1 en 2019- ha sido la publicaci\u00f3n del libro de la Fundaci\u00f3n CCOF\u00a0Hoja de ruta hacia una California org\u00e1nica: Informe de beneficios<\/em><\/a>. Este informe pionero revis\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 300 estudios cient\u00edficos para analizar c\u00f3mo la agricultura org\u00e1nica afecta a los Estados Unidos, encontrando que lo org\u00e1nico proporciona soluciones basadas en la evidencia a los complejos desaf\u00edos de la naci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La segunda parte del proyecto reunir\u00e1 a diversas partes interesadas en la agricultura para establecer un amplio men\u00fa de pol\u00edticas para la expansi\u00f3n org\u00e1nica a por lo menos el 10 por ciento de las tierras agr\u00edcolas de California para el a\u00f1o 2030. Como l\u00edder nacional en agricultura org\u00e1nica, California tiene la oportunidad de utilizarla como estrategia para aumentar la salud p\u00fablica y la prosperidad, allanando el camino para que otros estados se beneficien de la agricultura org\u00e1nica. En\u00a0Hoja de ruta hacia una California org\u00e1nica: Informe pol\u00edtico<\/em>\u00a0se dar\u00e1 a conocer a principios de 2020 en la Reuni\u00f3n Anual 2020 del CCOF, que se celebrar\u00e1 en Sacramento los d\u00edas 18 y 19 de febrero.<\/p>\n
