About the Instructor:
Originally from Denmark and holding a MSc in Agricultural Science from University of Copenhagen, Astrid has over 25 years of experience in North American agricultural industries with focus on growing, harvest and handling of crops. Astrid started out her time in the USA Involved in graduate student programs in crop pest management at Washington State University. Astrid has kept involvement with the PNW crop research communities, while specializing for over two decades as a professional pest management consultant for perennial crop growers. For the past 10+ years, Astrid has incorporated playing an active role in the field of implementation of food safety and environmental sustainability programs specific to growing, harvest and handling of crops including in roles as SQF, GLOBALG.A.P. and Sustainability Certifications auditor and as CB GLOBAL G.A.P. Scheme Manager and Trainer.
Astrid currently works with CCOF as CCOFs GLOBAL G.A.P. Registered Trainer.
