Organic inspections confirm that your operation meets the NOP standards and regulations both before you are certified and every year after for as long as you remain certified. Inspectors do this by confirming that what you say in your application, called an Organic System Plan (OSP), is what you are doing in practice. A CCOF-qualified inspector will conduct the inspection in an efficient manner and will file an inspection report with CCOF.
New applicants must undergo an inspection prior to representing their crops, products or livestock as organic. Currently certified operations will be annually assigned an inspection. Once your inspection is assigned to an inspector, you can find out who they are by logging into MyCCOF. If you are concerned about when your inspection will occur or who your inspector is, contact your Inspection Supervisor listed in the Dashboard of your MyCCOF contacts area.
