Enrollment in the CCOF GMA program means that CCOF will review your operation for compliance with equivalence arrangements between the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) or Canadian Organic Regime (COR) and various foreign governmental bodies. NOP certified operations can be reviewed to equivalencies with Canada, the EU, UK, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Switzerland. COR certified operations can be reviewed to equivalencies with the US, EU, UK, Japan, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
Yes, CCOF offers international programs designed to verify your compliance with a variety of international standards and equivalencies, including Canada, Mexico, the EU, UK, Switzerland, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Which program you should enroll in depends on which markets you are shipping to, and whether your product is shipped from the US/Canada or Mexico.
“CN” means combined nomenclature. A CN code is an EU and UK customs/tariff designation required in box 13 of export certificates for the EU and UK. CN codes are published in the Official Journal of the European Union and are available for search in TRACES for the EU.
