Sierra Valley Farms is owned and operated by Gary Romano, sole proprietor. We are a organic vegetable farm, farmining at 5,000 feet elevation in Sierra Valley, the northeastern portion of the Sierra Nevada. We have a unique farm, using special farming techniques in a high altitude, harsh environments. Due to our shorter seasons we utilize season extension hoop houses and green houses, along with farming 6 acres outdoors, to grow year round.

Since 1989, we have been producing the best fresh vegetables and fruit that nature has to offer. We take great pride in being one of the industry\'s leading produce companies and transfer this pride by being involved in the growing, packaging, shipping and processing of more than one hundred different commodities. We understand that the quality of the produce and the success of the company stems for the hard work and the dedication of our people which is why we continue to be and employee-owned company.

We grow the traditional Native American crops of corn, squash, and beans, along with a diverse rotation on two acres. The beneficial coexistence of the three species provides valuable sustenance as well as lore and legend in the culture. We have a local CSA program in Redlands, California. Our overall goal is to provide as much diversity as possible while remaining a small, family operation. Our organic practices include the use of compost, green manure, hand weeding, attracting beneficial insects with trap crops, and providing natural habitat for song birds.

We are a state-of-the-art farm that uses veganic-organic growing methods. We are a close knit group of farmers, builders and students that love to grow organic using environmentally responsible crops.
