Sierra Valley Farms is owned and operated by Gary Romano, sole proprietor. We are a organic vegetable farm, farmining at 5,000 feet elevation in Sierra Valley, the northeastern portion of the Sierra Nevada. We have a unique farm, using special farming techniques in a high altitude, harsh environments. Due to our shorter seasons we utilize season extension hoop houses and green houses, along with farming 6 acres outdoors, to grow year round.

Our overall goal is to provide as much diversity as possible while remaining a small, family operation. Our organic practices include the use of compost, green manure, hand weeding, attracting beneficial insects with trap crops, and providing natural habitat for song birds.
