Congratulations for your first year of organic certification!
Our produce is grown in sustainable aquaponic systems that maintain a dynamic ecosystem. The water that the plants grow in contain a community of fish. The plants clean the water for the fish and the fish provide fertilizer for the plants. The main fish in our system are tilapia, which we also plan on selling for food. We have added mosquito fish to eat any mosquito eggs that may get laid in the water.
This form of farming involves no dirt, weeds, soil pests, pathogens, tilling, cultivating, fertilizing, spreading, compost shredding, manure spreading, plowing-in cover crops, or irrigating. It uses less land, water, and energy!
We primarily sell our greens at several farmers’ markets, but you can also come to our farm on the first Saturday of each month to get a tour and pick your own fresh produce.
