CCOF is offering 16-hour virtual courses to provide crop growers with key insights and understanding of the GLOBALG.A.P. requirements for the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Plants Version 6 SMART and GFS. Join CCOF to learn about the various certification options and requirements and how to prepare your operation for the transition to GLOBALG.A.P. Version IFA v6 GFS, which has become mandatory as of January 1, 2025.
Important Note: If you are enrolled in the GLOBALG.A.P. Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS), these trainings would not apply to you. CCOF will hold HPSS trainings once the new version is out and mandatory, which will likely be in the beginning of 2026.

Who Should Attend
Producers, operations managers, supplier program managers, industry professionals, retailers, and GLOBALG.A.P. auditors who would like to gain in-depth and updated knowledge of the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standard and who wish to become better acquainted with the new IFA v6 GFS and SMART for Plants standard.
The course will assist in the phase-in process utilizing the IFA v6 FV standard, and some emphasis will be given to the differences between IFA v6 Plants and other commonly used standards.
About the Instructor
Astrid is originally from Denmark and has a Master of Science in agricultural science from University of Copenhagen. She has over 20 years of experience in North American agricultural industries, with a focus on growing, harvesting, and handling of crops. Astrid started out in the United States involved in graduate student programs in crop pest management at Washington State University. Astrid has continued her involvement with the Pacific Northwest crop research communities while specializing as a professional pest management consultant for perennial crop growers. For the past 10+ years, Astrid has played an active role in the field of food safety and environmental sustainability certification programs specific to crops, including in roles as a Safe Quality Food (SQF), GLOBALG.A.P. and Sustainability Certifications auditor, and as a CB GLOBAL G.A.P. Scheme Manager and Trainer. Astrid Goplen now works full time at CCOF in the role of senior food safety certification specialist and trainer.
