New Director of Farm Programs Certification

CCOF Certification Services is pleased to announce the promotion of Amy Lamendella to the position of Director of Farm Programs Certification. In this role Amy will oversee all CCOF farm and livestock services, as well as the field-level food safety programs for CCOF’s 2,000 farms and ranches. Amy brings a wealth of experience and history with CCOF to this position. She will support CCOF’s ongoing service improvements and paperwork reduction initiatives.

CCOF Certification Services is delighted to announce that former employee April Crittenden will return to CCOF as our new director of farm programs certification. Crittenden has a long history with CCOF, having participated in nearly every aspect of the farm and quality departments, from certification specialist to senior quality and compliance supervisor. Crittenden has been committed to organic excellence at CCOF for nearly a decade, and we expect to see our farm program flourish under her leadership.

Renewals are Coming

Every year, certified operations are required to submit an annual certification renewal contract and pay certification fees for the next year. In early November, we will mail your renewal package–the contract and invoice–as well as send you an email with your renewal information.

Complete your renewal contract and pay your annual certification fees by January 1, 2017, to complete the renewal process and remain certified in good standing. You can submit your contract and fees by mail, or through our online contract and payment portal at


Renewals Are Coming!

Every year, you are required to submit the annual Continuation of Certification contract and pay your certification fee. In mid-November, we will mail you your renewal package of contract and invoice. To complete the renewal process and remain certified in good standing, you must complete your renewal contract and pay your annual fees by January 1, 2013.


Welcome Jamie Carr

CCOF is proud to welcome our newest Associate Inspection Supervisor Jamie Carr to the team!

Jamie Carr has worked with CCOF for several years as an organic inspector in the Fresno area. Jamie will be managing a broad swath of operations from Southern California to Sutter and Yuba counties. Jamie brings solid inspection and food systems knowledge as well as familiarity with CCOF inspection systems and inspectors. She holds a B.S. in Plant Science from California State University, Fresno.

A Cause for Celebration: CCOF Policy Day at the State Capitol

On February 11, a dedicated group of individuals came together in Sacramento to represent and advocate on behalf of organic at CCOF’s Policy Day. Over 100 members of the organic community met with elected representatives and public officials to hammer home the message that organic is a significant and growing part of the California and national economy.

The CCOF Board of Directors is seeking applications from individuals for appointment to the CCOF Certification Services, LLC Management Committee. The LLC Management Committee is appointed by the board and has the responsibility to control and manage the business and affairs of CCOF Certification Services, LLC.
