Opening in 1977, Surata Soyfoods was one of the first tofu shops in the western hemisphere. We have been making certified organic tofu and tempeh ever since. We believe in the awesome nutritional and ecological benefits of using whole soybean products instead of meat in your diet. We distribute our tofu and tempeh throughout the Pacific Northwest. Starting as a small fruit stand based in San Jose grounded with roots in family and hard work, we have grown to focus not on produce, but rather on providing a large range of products for a variety of food service operators. By keeping our roots strong, we have been able to expand and keep our processing rooms, coolers, warehouses and office space up to date and ready to serve our customers.

With forty years of leadership, Veritable Vegetable (VV) distributes high quality, organic produce to independent cooperatives, retailers, restaurants, schools, corporate campuses and wholesalers. VV supports small to mid-sized organic growers by providing broader access to the marketplace and maximizing the return farmers receive for their product. Based in San Francisco, their distribution area includes California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico.
