New Website Supports Organic Handlers

by Sarah Reed, Director of Handler Certification |

As of September 29th, a new website is available that supports the organic sector and helps handlers contribute to a stronger, more resilient organic future.

OrganicHandlers.org was built by many hands through collaboration, expertise, and shared purpose. This initiative brings together the Organic Trade Association (OTA), the USDA National Organic Program, the Organic Agronomy Training Service (OATS), and leading partners across the organic sector, all united by a single mission: to empower every handler to grow with integrity, knowledge, and success in organic trade.

The site features The Guide to Organic Handling and Processing, a brand-new resource that covers important topics on handling certification. It’s written and edited in accessible, easy-to-understand formats to support businesses that are certified organic, in transition, organic-curious, or anywhere in between. The aim of this website is to empower every handler to grow with integrity, knowledge, and success in organic trade.
