The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) is a federal advisory board that makes recommendations to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture on materials for inclusion on or removal from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances, as well as federal regulations for organic production, handling, and processing.
The USDA has announced that the NOSB Spring 2026 meeting will take place May 12–14 in Omaha, Nebraska. The meeting will cover certain substances on the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances; recommendations on organic policies; organic research priorities, and recommendations on organic certification. Prior to meetings, the NOSB reviews written public comments and listens to oral public comments.
The detailed meeting agenda along with a link to register for oral comment will be posted here as it becomes available.
